Fatahi Owolabi HAMZAT
Fatahi Owolabi HAMZAT is a lecturer in Mass Communication Department, National Open
University of Nigeria. Currently, he is working on his PhD. He holds an MPA and MSc in Public
Administration from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife; MSc Mass Communication from NOUN and
B.A in English from OAU. Owolabi has had eclectic and exciting career engagements, including
a radio news reporter, marketing communicator and Public Relations Officer of a national culture
agency before joining the academy. This has made him a budding scholar with a nuanced
peculiarity.

Lateef Adekunle Adelakun
Lateef Adekunle Adelakun is a Reader and the Head of Mass Communication Department,
National Open University of Nigeria. His PhD is in Media Studies from the University of Malaya,
Malaysia. His Master and B.Sc. Degrees in mass communication are from UNILAG, Nigeria. With
14-year university academic and research experience, he has more than forty research
publications in the areas of new media, development communication and communication
theories as journal articles and books. Lateef is proficient with many social science research tools such as
Endnote, Mendeley, N’Vivo and SPSS.

Dr. Helen O.C. .Ambassador-Birkins is a teacher and researcher in the Department of Mass Communication, National Open University of Nigeria. Apart from handling various related assignments, she attends to her areas of interest which lie in the field of Development Communication and Media Studies. Prior to joining the Faculty, she served the University as an editorial staff in the University Press.
